Raw pu-erh from old Yiwu trees, seven years into a life that will run for another thirty. The bitterness has gone; the structure has not.
Camphor and resin up front, dried apricot underneath, and a cooling sweetness in the throat that keeps arriving after the cup is down. Yiwu is the gentle end of Banna, and this is a gentle example of it.
Sold as loose leaf or as a whole cake. The cake will keep changing; the loose leaf will not.

OLD TREEVINTAGE 2019
BREWING
Steep 7 g per 100 ml at 100 °C. Rinse once and let the leaf sit for a minute before the first infusion. Fifteen steeps is not unusual.
ORIGIN
Spring 2019 material from trees of two hundred years and older around Yiwu, pressed loose so the cake breaks cleanly. Stored dry in Copenhagen since 2021.
STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours.
