Gardenia Green Tea

A highly aromatic green tea from Fuzhou, traditionally scented with fresh gardenia flowers over seven rounds. The rich, creamy fragrance of gardenia meets the freshness of green tea, creating a floral tea that is expressive, smooth and refreshing.

Gardenia has been cultivated and appreciated in China for more than a thousand years, valued for its creamy-white blossoms and distinctive fragrance. In Chinese poetry, painting and garden culture, the flower has long been associated with purity and refinement.

For this tea, fresh gardenia flowers are brought together with tightly curled green tea leaves through seven rounds of traditional scenting (窨). During this process, the tea gradually absorbs the natural fragrance released by the flowers, allowing the floral character to become deeply integrated with the leaves.

Once brewed, the gardenia fragrance opens clearly, followed by the lively freshness of the green tea. Distinct notes of fresh grass and young greens give the liquor a crisp, vibrant character, while the floral aroma remains present throughout. The finish is clean, refreshing and gently fragrant.
